The processing of your personal data is carried out by The Committee on behalf of the Stanley Residents’ Group (SRG).  SRG is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation for the purpose of improving the village environment, providing opportunities for social engagement across the community, and to help residents address concerns or issues that arise within Stanley, Wakefield.

 

We respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining the security of your personal data.  This policy outlines how and why we collect and use personal data.  We want to ensure you are informed and in control of your data.

 

What personal data do we typically hold?

• Contact telephone number

• Contact email

• Photographs of individuals taking part in activities

• Age, for example when participating in an age-specific activity.

 

How will we use this personal data?

 

We use this data to communicate with you about SRG related matters and activities.

 

How did we collect this personal data?

 

You provided it to us when you:

• Joined as a member of the committee, or

• Volunteered or participated in some way on an activity facilitated by us, or

• Requested to join our mailing list

 

With whom will we share this data?

 

We will NOT sell or lease your personal data to third parties. Your name may be shared with other members of the group, including volunteers, in the course of communicating about activities in which you are involved. Your address, telephone number and email will never be shared with persons outside of the Committee without your express permission.

Images, including photographs and videos of events, may be posted on our website or Facebook closed group. Photographs of individuals will only be posted with their express consent.

How long do we hold personal data?

We hold personal data for no longer than is needed. If you provide us with your details in order to take part in an activity or join our mailing list, we will hold your data for a maximum of three years from your last contact with us, except where there is a legal requirement for us to hold your data for longer. We do this because it is a legitimate interest of our group to publicise our activities to those who may be interested in taking part.

Your right to withdraw consent

 

We will only use your personal data with your permission.  You may withdraw that consent at any time by emailing stanleyresidentsgroup@gmail.com. Your details will be removed from our records within 28 days.

Sensitive personal data

 

In exceptional circumstances sensitive personal health data may be collected as part of any accident reporting during activities.  This information may be shared with our insurance company in line with our legal and insurance obligations.  If sensitive personal information is collected we will take extra care to ensure privacy rights are protected.  Such data would only be retained for as long as the law required.
